Caribbean Students' Organization

at Western University

F.A.Q.

What does CSO do?

The Caribbean Students’ Organization is a multifaceted organization which strives to do a number of things such as:

  • Educate the Western community, the city of London and ourselves about the Caribbean’s diverse and unique cultures
  • Serve as a home away from home for Caribbean students at the University of Western Ontario
  • Transmit the Caribbean’s culture through cultural displays through different forms of expressions such as dance, poetry, singing, music, rap, etc.
  • Give back to the community through charitable causes

How do I join CSO after Clubs Week?

There are three ways to do this:

  • Attend one of our general meetings and speak with any of our executive members
  • Email us at cso.uwo@gmail.com, with your request to join
  • Simply speak to any of our Executives when you see them

If I am not from the Caribbean can I still join CSO?

This is perhaps the most frequently asked question by people who are interested in joining CSO but are hesitant to do so. CSO is not an exclusive club where only people of Caribbean descent can join. Our organization is open to the general student population at Western. If you like and want to learn more about Caribbean culture this is the right club for you.
